How to: Install nano on CentOS

In this guide, I will show you how you can easily install the nano text editor which is available on pretty much every distro and is a very easy to use editor.


In order to follow this tutorial, you will need the following

  • Sudo Privileges

  • Updating

    Its always a good idea to do a quick update before installing any new package.
    sudo yum update -y

    Install nano

    sudo yum install nano -y

    And thats it, happy nano'ing!
