In this extremely quick tutorial, I will be showing you how to ping an IP/domain in Windows 7 to see if it is online.

In order to follow this tutorial, you will need the following

  • Windows 7

  • Ping a Website

To do this, will will need to use the Windows Key + R to bring up the run window. If you cant do this, just press start and type in run. This will bring up a box like the one below. In this we will need to type 'ping -t'. The is the ip or domain that you would like to ping. The -t on the end means that it will run until it has been cancelled (Ctrl+C).

If you then click Ok, it should then start the ping in cmd.
